On November 8, 2023, during the Elim Missions International Conference (EMIC 2023), Elim Communities witnessed a sacred and historic moment: the formal proclamation of the Elim Decree of Succession, a Spirit-led transition ushering the community into its next generation of leadership.

Here is the statement from Bro Willy Nakar, Founder and Presiding Elder of Elim Communities:

 

It is with great joy and honor that I, as the Founder and Presiding Elder of Elim Communities, in accordance with the vision of my late wife, Sis Luli Nakar, announce that the leadership of Elim Communities has been transferred and conferred upon our three daughters: MA. DOLORES NAKAR MARAÑON, MARIA INEZ NAKAR CATAN, AND PRECIOUS NAKAR DE GUZMAN.

The “Leadership of Three" will carry out the duties of the Presiding Elder and Keeper of the Vision, with the title “ELIM VISION DIRECTORS.”

 

Their administration of Elim Communities will be done with the support of, and in cooperation and collaboration with, MOSES JARVIS RUSSELL CATAN, who will carry on the role and duty of “ELIM DIRECTOR FOR SCRIPTURE AND EVANGELIZATION.”

 

A result of prayer and discernment, and in consultation with Elim Spiritual Director, Fr. Steve Tynan, this move ensures that Elim Communities' evangelistic mission and charisms are perpetuated, remaining fresh and new (Isaiah 43:19) in response to the call of the times and remaining faithful to “the work of renewal and evangelization of the Church in the Philippines and the world”
